Golden Nail (2026)
Golden Nail is a sculptural work about determination, physical labour and the transformation of an idea into reality.
A worn red work boot, marked by concrete residue and traces of paint, is fixed to a white glass panel by a prominent gold-finished steel nail. The contrast between the rough, utilitarian boot, the fragile glass and the golden metal creates a tension between rawness and refinement, function and symbolism.
Inspired by the dream of building a house of my own, the work reflects the effort required to turn an imagined future into something tangible. The boot represents the physical work behind creation, while the golden nail becomes a symbol of commitment, resolve and the first decisive step towards making an idea real.
Golden Nail stands at the intersection of sculpture and everyday objects, transforming a familiar tool of labour into a statement about ambition, perseverance and the act of building one’s own world.
